Arbutus Overview

Arbutus is a mature community with traditional tree-lined streets on Vancouver’s Westside, bordered by 16th Avenue to the north, Quesnel Drive to the west, Arbutus/East Boulevard to the east and King Edward Avenue to the south. Home to the desirable Arbutus Ridge area, the neighbourhood is mostly comprised of single-family detached homes on wide streets, mixed with deluxe townhouses and some low-rise and high-rise condominiums. With its close proximity to the city’s downtown core, Arbutus retains its true neighbourhood feel with a peaceful ambience and plenty of green space. While English is the predominant language in Arbutus, Chinese-speaking residents rose to 34 percent in recent years.

Walking and dog paths, baseball fields and soccer pitches abound in the Trafalgar Park area, with Dunbar and Kerrisdale neighbourhoods just outside the boundaries offering many recreational activities. Striking views of the North Shore mountains, adds even more to the Arbutus charm and locale.
