Cambie Overview

With the state-of-the-art underground Canada Line, Cambie has become a vibrant and more attractive than ever city hub, appealing to many ages, income levels and ethnic groups. The Cambie neighbourhood is located just minutes from Vancouver’s downtown and is bordered by 16th Avenue to the north, 41st Avenue to the south, Ontario Street to the East and Oak Street to the west. As one of the oldest settled neighbourhoods in Vancouver, it has proportionately more residents with English, Scottish and Irish heritage. There is also a large percentage of Vancouver’s Jewish community who call Cambie home. A neighbourhood of unique low-rise, medium size and condo buildings with a nice assortment of single-family homes.

Hillcrest Centre, the former curling venue for the 2010 Winter Games, offers a wide variety of recreation programs with a stunning aquatic centre, fitness facility, ice rink, gymnasium and public library. Nearby at Nat Bailey Stadium is the popular Vancouver Winter Farmer’s Market featuring fresh locally made food.
