Fraserview Overview

The Fraserview neighbourhood encompasses a large area of predominantly single-family and new condo & townhome development. Multi-culturally diverse, it stretches north from the Fraser River to East 54th Avenue, and is bordered by Knight Street to the west and Fraserview Golf Course on Vivian Drive to the east. Mandarin, Cantonese or Punjabi are the first languages in many of the homes in Fraserview. For the over 30,000 residents who live in the Fraserview neighbourhood, you’ll find an eclectic mix of stores and Mom and Pop restaurants on nearby Victoria Drive. After the Second World War, hundreds of houses were built in the community to accommodate returning soldiers. In the 1980s, the reclaimed industrial areas began to be replaced by new residential development. Today the burgeoning River District is like nowhere else in the city – Vancouver’s newest and growing waterfront community.

With the beautiful Fraser River on its doorstep, jogging, cycling and dog walking beckon for Fraserview residents. Yet Fraserview is still central to everything, just 20 minutes to downtown, 6 minutes to Richmond and 11 minutes to Metrotown.
