Considered one of the most beautiful and desirable neighbourhoods in Canada, Point Grey on Vancouver’s west side is located with Alma Street to the east, Blanca at UBC to the west, 16th Avenue to the south and NW Marine Drive to the north. The majority of homes in Point Grey are single family with prices in the upper range. Buyers will find designer contemporary homes, stately traditional mansions to luxury condominium developments. Education choices adds to its appeal as Point Grey is the closest Vancouver neighbourhood to the campus of the University of British Columbia. In addition there’s three elementary schools in the immediate neighbourhood and four high schools including West Point Grey Academy, Lord Byng, University Hill and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The picturesque Point Grey waterfront features spectacular beaches including Jericho, Spanish Banks and Locarno Beach. The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club and the Jericho Tennis Club are also a neighbourhood exclusive. Recreation wise, Point Grey is home to three times the average ‘park space per person‘ of any area in the Lower Mainland. For nature lovers the magnificent Pacific Spirt Park offers over 55km of nature trails. Point Grey is also well known for golf with the private Point Grey & Shaughnessy Golf Clubs and the public access University Golf Course.
Shops at the intersection of 10th & Alma offer residents an eclectic mix of antique and collectible stores, coffee bars, restaurants and grocery outlets. Point Grey also offers easy access to Vancouver’s downtown core and has good bus service to UBC.
