S.W. Marine Overview

Home to some of the city’s most exclusive addresses with sprawling estates and winding driveways, the South West (SW) Marine Drive neighbourhood in Vancouver is bordered by 49th Avenue to the north, West Boulevard and 64th Avenue over to Granville Street on the east, south to 70th Avenue that turns into the western boundary of SW Marine Drive. The SW Marine neighbourhood is lined with many spectacular homes, mansions and estates, some with gated entries, swimming pools and staff quarters. This affluent community slopes toward the north arm of the Fraser River and is next door to the rural confines of Southlands and the greenbelt of the riverside trail. Exciting new retail at the corner of Granville & 70th includes a beautiful new Safeway store. While shopping at Kerrisdale Village just minutes away has many desirable cafes and hidden lunch spots. SW Marine Drive is one of the major routes for university students and faculty. Other education institutions nearby include McKechnie and Maple Grove Elementary School. The neighbourhood also borders two of the most beautiful golf courses in the city – the public McCleary Golf Course and the prestigious and historic Marine Drive Golf Course.

Residents enjoy quick and easy access to Vancouver International Airport. In addition SW Marine Drive is ideally located near Highway 99 to take residents to the US border or the ferry terminal at Tsawwassen.
